Celtic hit four on opening day
 Women's Football Scottish WPL News - 15 Feb 2019
Celtic got off to a promising start on the opening day of the new season as they won 4-0 against Forfar Farmington to record the biggest win in SWPL 1.
The Celts took the lead through Sarah Ewens with three minutes on the clock and Josephine Giard added a second shortly afterwards. Natalie Ross then scored either side of half time for a double to round off a good day for her team.
Newly promoted Motherwell also made it a winning start when beating Stirling University 1-0, Kerry Montgomery scoring the only goal of the game.
Hibernian were held to a goalless draw by local rivals Spartans, who battled to keep their opponents at bay and get their campaign off to a great start.
The other scheduled match in SWPL 1 between Rangers and Glasgow City was called off as a mark of respect following the sad passing of Kat Lindner.
