Chelsea striker Beth England has become the latest player at the club to sign a new contract, prolonging her stay at the club for a further two years.
Beth is the club's top scorer in all competitions with 17 goals to her name, seven of which have been scored in the FA WSL, including her first hat-trick for Chelsea in last week's win against Bristol City.
The striker's form has been a major plus for Chelsea this season and she has nailed down a regular starting place in the team during the campaign, having missed their title success last season due to having been away on loan. Now she is aiming to play a big part as Emma Hayes' side have an important few weeks ahead, as they continue to chase after a UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying place for next season, as well as looking forward to quarter final tie in the SSE Women's FA Cup and Champions League against Durham Women and Paris Saint Germain respectively, following the international break.
24-year-old Beth joined Chelsea in 2016 from Doncaster Rovers Belles and spent the whole of last season on loan at Liverpool, where she had a fine season in front of goal.
Beth England's contract extension is more good news for the club after Maria Thorisdottir and Carly Telford signed similar deals earlier this month.
