Hibernian continue to set the early pace in SWPL 1 after winning 4-0 away to newly promoted Motherwell.
Rachael Small gave Hibs the lead on the stroke of half time and Lauren Davidson added a second just after the break. Small increased Hibs' lead by scoring direct from a corner and Kirsten Reilly netted the final goal from a free kick.
Glasgow City meanwhile kept up their perfect start to the new season with a 5-1 victory over Stirling University. However, Stirling gave a better account of themselves than the scoreline suggests and took the lead three minutes before half time through Gemma Mason. City's response was instant, Hayley Lauder equalising straight away, and Kirsty Howat put them ahead for the first time just after the hour. An own goal extended their lead and Howat netted her second late on, before Clare Shine rounded off the scoring with the fifth.
Celtic bounced back from defeat in their previous league match to win 5-1 at Spartans. Sarah Ewens and Chloe Craig scored two goals apiece and Kathleen McGovern added the other for the Hoops, with Michaela McAlonie grabbing a late consolation for Spartans.
Rangers came from behind to win 2-1 against Forfar Farmington and maintain their 100% start. Danni McGinley gave Forfar the lead midway through the first half, with Jade Gallon missing a penalty shortly afterwards, but Gallon made amends on the hour mark when she scored the equaliser. Substitute Chantelle Brown was the heroine for Rangers as she created the first goal and then scored the winner with eight minutes remaining.
