Five-star Albion win Plate
 Women's Football WNL Division 1 Midlands News - 19 Apr 2019
West Bromwich Albion have picked up the first of what should be a trophy double when they defeated Liverpool Feds 5-1 in the League Plate Final at Rugby Town F.C.
Albion captain Hannah George got her side off to the perfect start when she fired in a 20-yard free kick via the post in the fifth minute. The Feds reacted well to going behind and Gemma Farley levelled the scores midway through the first half but Jess Davies put Albion back in front shortly before half time.
After the break, Davies scored her second to put her side in command of the game and Ria Elsmore then added the fourth. Natalie Murray then produced a fine solo effort to round off the scoring and crown a fine day for her club, who are just one point away from adding the Division One Midlands title to their trophy haul.
