Glasgow City's emphatic start to the season continued as they scored eight times without reply past Rangers.
An own goal had given them a ninth minute lead but City had powered to four up at the interval, Lara Ivanusa adding a quickfire double before Hayley Lauder scored the next. Kirsty Howat made it five early in the second half, with Jordan McLintock netting either side of a Joanne Paton goal to help keep their side two points clear at the top.
Hibernian stay on their heels after coming through a tough local derby with a 2-1 victory over Spartans. Jamie-Lee Napier gave Hibs the lead with seven minutes on the clock and after Robyn McCafferty had equalised early in the second half, Siobhan Hunter scored the winning goal from the penalty spot.
Celtic complete the top three after narrowly getting the better of Forfar Farmington in a seven-goal thriller. Suzanne Mulvey's early strike for Celtic was cancelled out by Cheryl Kilcoyne, with Sarah Ewens restoring the Hoops' lead on the half hour. Danni McGinley levelled once again after the break, before Ewens netted her second and Josephine Giard scored what proved to be the winner, despite Beth Shillitto pulling one back for Forfar late on.
Motherwell claimed their second victory of the season, a 4-1 success against Stirling University. The first half was goalless but braces from Claire Adams and Sarah Crilly saw Motherwell home, with Kristina Kim netting a late reply.
