East Midlands League
Leicester City Women Development clinched the Premier Division title on Sunday, following a 3-3 draw with Oughtibridge WMSC. Oughtibridge had won 5-1 when the pair met a fortnight earlier and they needed to better that and record a 7 goal victory margin to effect a double figure swing in goal difference to topple City from top spot. Lauren Bartle, Jade Benford, and Megan Kenney netted the all-important goals for City, whist Millie Kenyon, Kathryn Mudge and Sam Woodham replied for Oughtibridge who finish third behind Peterborough Utd. Kettering Town meanwhile won 2-1 against Rise Park, thanks to a brace from Laura Beckett.
In Division One South, Corby Town are off the bottom of the table following their 3-2 victory against Loughborough Foxes Vixens, whose goals came from Emma Kirkland and Leandra Whelband.
Eastern Region League
Whilst the League Cup and League Plate Finals were being played on Sunday (see match reports), there was action in the league with the destination of the runners-up spot in the Premier Division being decided.
In the end it was Acle Utd who finished in second place for the second time in three seasons after they defeated Colney Heath 2-1, with Grace Birchall scoring both goals. Royston Town had actually started the day in the runners-up position but crashed to an 8-1 defeat at the hands of Peterborough Northern Star. Katie Steward led the scoring for Northern Star with a four-goal haul, Leah Cudone weighed in with a double and there was one apiece from Vicky Gallagher and Emma Pollard.
Meanwhile in Division One, Rachel Skinner netted four times as King's Lynn Town won 6-2 away to Bishop's Stortford, with Jodie Hopkins-Duckhouse and Annie Rooks adding the others. Danielle Cliffe, Vicky Kinsman and Rosi Webb were all on target for Hutton as they shared a 3-3 draw with Lawford, who replied through Jamie Newstead, Hannah Porter and Jodie Sharp.
Southern Region League
Oxford City finished their league campaign with a 6-0 victory over Barton Rovers on Sunday. Oxford therefore end up in third place and will be aiming to win back the League Cup this week, when they take on league champions Southampton FC Ladies in the Final.
West Midlands League
In the only match to be played in the league on Sunday, Kidderminster Harriers won 5-0 away to Droitwich Spa in Division One South. Kirsty Roberts was on target twice for runners-up Harriers, along with Hannah Ashman, Amy Plimmer and Amber Quick.
