Glasgow City went into the mid-season break in SWPL 1 with a five point lead following their 10-1 victory over Forfar Farmington on Sunday.
After Jenna Clark had given City the lead, Kirsty Howat hit a first half brace with Murron Cunningham and Hayley Sinclair also getting on the scoresheet before half time. Natalie Cromar pulled one back for Forfar in the opening minute of the second half, before City hit back as Clare Shine and Nicola Docherty each netted twice and Leanne Ross rounded off the scoring.
Hibernian stay in second after scoring six times without reply away to Rangers. Six different players got on the scoresheet for Hibs with Kirsty Morrison, Siobhan Hunter, Cailin Michie, Shannon Leishman, Amy Gallacher and Jamie-Lee Napier all finding the net.
Celtic won 2-1 away to Motherwell to keep themselves level on points with Hibernian. Kirsty McLaughlin gave Celtic a first half lead which was cancelled out by Katie Rice, before Kathleen McGovern netted the decisive goal on the hour.
Spartans got back to winning ways with a 4-0 success against Stirling University. Ronaigh Douglas scored a goal in each half, with Michaela McAlonie and Sarah Clelland adding the others.
The next round of fixtures in the top flight will now be played on 4th August.
