Newly crowned FA WSL Champions Arsenal have wasted no time in strengthening their squad for next season, with the arrivals of Jill Roord and Manuela Zinsberger from Bayern Munich.
22-year-old Netherlands international Roord has already won nine major honours, including the Women's European Championships in 2017, and can't wait to get started in north London.
"I'm really proud that I'm going to be an Arsenal player," she told Arsenal.com. "Arsenal is an amazing club and they're also champions now, so I'm really happy and proud to join the club.
"Arsenal is one of the clubs in England that I really like. In women's football, they've always been one of the top clubs. Of course there are some Dutch friends of mine who play there, so I've always followed them. I'm really looking forward to it.
"What type of player am I? I'm really technical. I can play offensive and also defensive midfield. I'm really technical and like to have the ball at my feet. I can also score a lot, so hopefully I can make some goals too.
23-year-old goalkeeper Zinsberger started her career with OFB-Frauenliga club SV Neulengbach, where she won the top Austrian league in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. She also won the OFB Ladies Cup in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
The Austria international's impressive performances earned her a move to Germany in 2014, where she helped Bayern win the Bundesliga in both 2015 and 2016.
"It's such an amazing feeling," said Zinsbeger. "I know a lot of the players here. We have a really good team here with really good quality and impressive performances, so I'm looking forward to being part of it!"
