Hamilton Academical are back on top of SWPL 2 on goal difference, following their 2-0 victory over Dundee Utd on Sunday.
The first half was goalless but Chloe Muir broke the deadlock in favour of the Accies just after the hour mark, and Teigan McCann wrapped up an important win for her side in injury time.
Hearts had led the table in the midsummer break but are back in second place after being held to a 1-1 draw by FC Kilmarnock. Colette Fleming put Killie ahead after sixteen minutes, with Hearts battling back to earn themselves a share of the spoils on the stroke through half time through Lauren Hall.
Partick Thistle are continuing to do well in their first season in the league and their 1-0 success against St Johnstone leaves them in third place, just two points behind the joint leaders. The only goal of the game came when Taylor McGlashan converted from close range following a free kick by Emma Lawton.
Glasgow Girls are a further two points adrift following their twelve-goal blast past Hutchison Vale. Taylor Fisher had a great day in front of goal, finding the net six times in total, Lucy McEwan contributed a brace and there was one apiece from Leigh Ferrol, Lauren Kerr and Chloe Docherty, with an own goal completing the tally.
