Hearts regain leadership
 Women's Football Scottish WPL2 News - 18 Sep 2019
The quarter finals of the SSE Scottish Women's Cup reduced the league programme to just two matches, both of which were played in SWPL 2.
This did, however, produce a change of leadership as Hearts made their return to the top of the table with a fine 4-1 victory away to Partick Thistle. Maddy Brill-Edwards, Danni McGinley, Claire Delworth and Robyn Smith all scored a goal each for Hearts, with Claire Rigden netting Thistle's consolation.
Dundee Utd meanwhile moved themselves level on points with third placed Glasgow Girls, thanks to a crushing 10-1 win against Hutchison Vale. Neve Guthrie and Katie Caine hit a hat-trick apiece for United, Tammy Harkin weighed in with a brace, while Megan Burns and Chloe Robertson also got on the scoresheet.
