Hibernian continued their defence of the SSE Scottish Women's Cup with a 3-0 victory over Hamilton Academical, which takes them through to the semi finals.
Lauren Davidson gave Hibs a first half lead, before Siobhan Hunter sealed the win with a brace after the break, taking the central defender's recent goal tally to an impressive eight goals in four games.
Hibs' opponents in the last four will be Motherwell, in a repeat of last season's Final. The Women of Steel ended the Cup run of Queen's Park by beating them 5-0, Chelsea McEachran hitting a hat-trick along with other goals from Lauren Doran-Barr and Myia Arbuckle.
The top two in SWPL 1 came face to face in the tie of the round and it was Glasgow City who emerged as 2-0 winners over Celtic, to reach the last four once again. Leanne Ross gave City a first half lead via a stunning free kick and Kirsty Howat sealed the win for her side when she scored the second, just after the hour mark.
Aberdeen have enjoyed an excellent run in the Cup this year but, like their fellow SWFL survivors Queen's Park, they also exited at the quarter final stage when they were beaten 1-0 by Rangers. The only goal of the game came as early as the twelfth minute, when Clare Gemmell scored from the penalty spot, and this proved to be enough to take Rangers through to a semi final meeting with Glasgow City.
The two semi finals are to be hosted by the Forthbank Stadium and both will be played on Sunday 13th October.
