The majority of teams in the Reserve Section were involved in League Cup ties over the weekend. Crewe Alexandra got off the mark in Group B, thanks to a 2-1 victory away to Stockport County. Amy McDermott and Millie Burns scored the goals for Crewe, with Caitlin Clancy replying.
Huddersfield Town are the new leaders of Group C following a crushing 10-1 win against Barnsley. Emma Samways and Lois Scholefield both hit hat-tricks for Town along with Cassidy Clift, Macy Ellis, Olivia Taylor and Emily Brett. Nottingham Forest meanwhile defeated Leicester City 4-1 to go level on points with Huddersfield. Georgia Gladwin (2), Annabel McKechnie and Claire Goater were all on target for Forest.
There was action in the South Division and a change of leadership, as Crawley Wasps replaced Southampton FC at the top after winning their meeting 2-1. Lauren Callaghan and Jade Simmons both scored first half goals for Crawley, with the Saints replying after the break through Ellie Chaffe. Chloe Winchester was on target for Lewes as they shared a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, whose goal came from Emily Treacy.
Tottenham Hotspur are the new leaders of the South East Division after scoring seven times without reply past AFC Basildon in the only match to be played.
