Crewe Alexandra will play their first home game of the season this Sunday when they play Barnsley in the Women's FA Cup.
Crewe have already beaten Wythenshawe Amateurs, Oadby & Wigston, Coventry Sphinx and Birmingham & West Midlands on the way to the First Round proper, where they will face the Division One North leaders.
Head coach Matt Fisher told Women's Soccer Scene: "The players are really excited to be able to play in such a historic competition and against highly competitive opposition.
"We know the magnitude of the task ahead but we feel like this will be a great opportunity to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the division above us. We have made huge efforts to ensure the day is a celebration of how far we have come over the past year and we are really looking forward to grassroots girls from Crewe FC being at the game to support the players."
Loren Cooper added: "We have been training really hard since pre season and are looking forward to a huge game. It'll be a good test of how far we have come since last season when we played Barnsley and weren't really competitive for a few reasons.
"Both teams have improved and all the players are really looking forward to it. I've been at the club since I was 13 and this is the best vibe we have had around the club for some time, we really believe we can go on and do something special this season."
