The draw for the Third Round of the Women's FA Cup has been made.
Only three of the nine ties are known because of a number of postponements in Second Round ties yesterday, but the pick of the round is likely to be the clash between Watford and Plymouth Argyle, two of the title challengers in the Southern Premier Division this season. Actonians Ladies, who caused an upset by knocking out Crawley Wasps, will be away to Billericay Town who themselves had a good win against Gillingham.
That tie, along with Barnsley being drawn away to either Chorley or Brighouse Town, ensures that at least two teams from Tier 4 will go through to the Fourth Round.
The ties are set to be played on Sunday 5th January and prize money is £1,250 for the winners, as well as the honour of joining the Barclays FA WSL and Championship teams who enter the competition at the next stage.
Third Round draw:
Fylde Women v Sunderland or Middlesbrough
Burnley FC Women or Hull City v Nottingham Forest
Chester-le-Street Town or Loughborough Foxes v Stoke City or Huddersfield Town
Chorley or Brighouse Town v Barnsley
Ipswich Town v Portsmouth or Leyton Orient
Watford v Plymouth Argyle
Cardiff City v Southampton FC Women
Southampton Women's FC v West Bromwich Albion or Lincoln City
Billericay Town v Actonians Ladies
