Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League leaders Swansea City did not have a game on Sunday and their advantage at the top of the table was cut to three points by their two nearest rivals.
Cardiff Met Women moved themselves closer to the Swans by winning 2-0 away to Abergavenny Women. The first half was goalless but nine minutes after the restart, Erin Murray gave the Archers the lead. Amy Long wrapped up the win for the reigning Champions as she grabbed the second, midway through the half.
Cardiff City Women also kept themselves well in contention with a 3-0 success against Cyncoed Ladies. Kate Jeremiah opened the scoring for City just before the half hour and Zoe Atkins went on to seal the points for her side with a double, netting either side of half time.
The two teams at the foot of the table at the start of play met each other in an important clash and it was Briton Ferry Llansawel who were to claim a 1-0 victory over Aberystwyth Town. Renee Day was the heroine for Briton Ferry as she scored the game's only goal, five minutes into the second half, to take her team up into mid-table.
