Sunderland have gone through to the Fourth Round of the Women's FA Cup after they won 4-1 away to Fylde Women in their delayed tie.
Jessica Brown gave Sunderland the lead, with Jenna Carroll equalising for the Coasters two minutes later, before Maria Farrugia put the Wearsiders back in front just before half time. Two goals in a four minute spell midway through the second half then put Sunderland in a commanding position, Bridget Galloway extending their lead and Brown rounding off the scoring with her second goal. Sunderland will now be at home to Watford in the Fourth Round, in what will be an intriguing clash between the current Northern and Southern Premier Division leaders.
Billericay Town meanwhile ended the Cup run of Actonians Ladies with a thrilling 3-2 victory. Karissa Rodney gave Billericay a first half lead but after the break, Actonians hit back with a double from Alessandra Barreca putting them in front. Therese Addison levelled matters once again from the penalty spot and as the game went into injury time, Billericay captain Lindsey Morgan bundled in the winning goal from a corner. Billericay's reward for a hard earned win is a trip to Championship side Lewes in the last 32.
