Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League leaders Swansea City were not in action on Sunday, giving an opportunity for the teams below them to catch up ground.
Cardiff Met Women hold on to second place and narrowed the gap on Swansea to six points with a 4-1 victory over Port Talbot Town. Sophie Hancocks gave Met the lead with four minutes on the clock, with Port Talbot hitting back to get on level terms at the break thanks to Bethan McGowan. Aimee Dagnall and Lucy Finch then struck in quick succession, early in the second half, before Erin Murray rounded off the win for the Archers late on.
Cardiff City FC stay level on points with Met after they also won 4-1 against Aberystwyth Town. Kate Jeremiah's early goal for City was cancelled out before half time by Emily Thomas, but goals in the second half from Kanisha Underdown, Catherine Walsh and Alana Murphy sealed the result for City and got them back to winning ways.
Cyncoed Ladies made it two victories on the trot with a 2-0 success away to Abergavenny Women. After a goalless first half, Millie Jones opened the scoring on her debut for the Mighty Oaks within four minutes of the restart and Lauren Lyons wrapped up the win with the second goal.
