Brighton complete last eight
 Women's Football FA Women's Cup News - 28 Feb 2020
The last remaining Fifth Round tie was played on Tuesday night and it saw Brighton & Hove Albion book their place in the quarter finals with a 3-0 victory away to Crystal Palace.
The Seagulls took the lead with fourteen minutes on the clock as debutant striker Rianna Jarrett scored with a spectacular strike from the edge of the area. Jarrett struck again in the opening minute of the second half when she headed in a cross from Emily Simpkins and Ini Umotong wrapped up the win with twenty minutes remaining.
The result means that Brighton have equalled their best ever run in the competition, having previously reached the last eight in the 1993-94 season, and they will take on Birmingham City for a place in the semi finals.
