There was better news for England Under-21s as they earned their second victory in their double header over France in a matter of days, as they won 2-0 at St. George's Park on Sunday afternoon.
Rehanne Skinner's side had already earned a 1-0 win over the French on Thursday, Rianna Dean scoring the only goal of the game, but made it back-to-back wins and another clean sheet to complete a successful camp.
Liverpool striker Niamh Charles put England ahead after just five minutes before Rianna Dean, who got the vital goal last time out, scored the second just after the hour mark to make it two goals in as many games.
England Under-21: Emily Ramsey, Esmee Morgan, Lotte Wubben-Moy, Maz Pacheco (sub Taylor Hinds 62mins), Megan Finnigan, Niamh Charles, Aimee Palmer (sub Connie Scofield 45mins), Hannah Cain (sub Emily Syme 45mins), Ella Toone (sub Amy Rogers 62mins), Rianna Dean (sub Angela Addison 62mins), Poppy Pattinson (sub Niamh Cashin 45mins).
