Motherwell confirmed their place in the quarter finals as winners of Group B in the Premier League Cup after they defeated Partick Thistle 6-1 in the final match.
Top spot was on offer for the winning side, whilst a draw would have meant that Forfar Farmington would be guaranteed to finish in first place.
Jordan McLintock led the scoring with a hat-trick, along with a double from Kaela McDonald-Nguah and an own goal whilst the Jags' consolation came from Suzanne Mulvey.
Hamilton Academical are also looking good for a place in the last eight following their 2-0 victory against Dundee Utd. Lauren Evans proved to be the difference between the sides after coming on as a substitute by scoring both goals in the last twenty minutes. The result means that the Accies are in line to go through as one of the best runners-up.
