Cardiff Met Women made it three wins out of three on Sunday and they jointly lead the Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League with Abergavenny Women.
Chloe O'Connor gave Met a tenth minute lead away to Port Talbot Town and Jodie Passmore made it two just before half time. Courtenay Thomas pulled one back for Port Talbot early in the second half but a double from Lauren Townsend wrapped up a 4-1 victory in Met's favour.
Meanwhile, Abergavenny played host to Cyncoed Ladies and notched up a 4-0 win which gives them an identical record to that of Met's. Lyndsey Davies and Ceri Hudson put Aber two goals ahead inside the opening twenty minutes, with Davies netting her second just before the interval. Mali Summers completed the scoring for Abergavenny with the final goal on the hour.
Cardiff City Women won for the first time, 5-2 away to Briton Ferry Llansawel. Zoe Atkins, Lisa Owen and Hannah Daley gave City a three-goal lead at half time, which was added to by Phoebe Poole after the break. The home side staged a fightback with Lowri Baker and Sophie Topper reducing the arrears but City secured the win late on with the fifth goal from Catherine Walsh.
Newly promoted Cascade Youth Club recorded their first ever WPWL win when they beat Aberystwyth Town 2-1. Kelly Thomas put Aberystwyth in front after nineteen minutes but Holly Hughes levelled the scores two minutes before half time and Sophie Hamer netted the winning goal, midway through the second half.
