Helston Athletic are through to Second Round Qualifying of the Vitality Women's FA Cup after winning 5-3 against South West Women's League leaders Marine Academy Plymouth.
Sasha Sparkes netted two of the goals for the Cornish side, with Katy Barker-Thomas, Abigail Locke and an own goal sealing a victory which books them a plum home tie against Southampton FC Women.
AFC Stoneham goalkeeper Sian Lodge had a day to remember as her team went through on a penalty shootout against Middlezoy Rovers, after the teams had shared a 2-2 draw. Trailing 2-1 deep into injury time, Kaylee Buckingham having earlier scored, Lodge fired home a spectacular long range free kick to take the game into penalties, where she then went on to save three Middlezoy kicks to help her team through to a meeting with Buckland Athletic.
Warrington Wolverines booked themselves a meeting with Durham Cestria, thanks to a 2-1 victory away to Farsley Celtic Juniors. Blackburn Community SC meanwhile won 3-2 against Alnwick Town and now make the long trip to Newcastle Utd.
Beth Taylor scored a hat-trick and Olivia Ashfield added the other as Worcester City ran out 4-1 winners over Droitwich Spa and they will now be up against Stourbridge FC Ladies.
Royston Town eased through by scoring eight times without reply against Brett Vale. Yasmin Pratt was on target four times, Gemma Croucher hit a hat-trick and Charlotte South added the other for Royston who now play Stevenage Women.
Luton Town meanwhile defeated Wroxham 5-0 to set up a home tie with Cambridge City. Nicola Henman was on target twice for Luton along with Heather McDonnell, Dionne Manning and Adi Milton.
AFC Bournemouth emerged as winners from a penalty shootout after battling out a 1-1 draw with Moneyfields. Molly Clark scored from open play for Bournemouth, who will look forward to meeting Southampton Women in the next round, whilst the Moneys went out on penalties for the second season in a row (see match report).
Ashford Ladies stormed to a 9-1 victory over Watford Development, thanks mainly to four-goal hauls from Jenny Newman and Rebecca Wyatt. Katie Hardaker added the other goal for Ashford who now travel to AFC Wimbledon. Wycombe Wanderers will be away to Fulham after Rae Roberts scored the only goal of the game in their 1-0 success at Comets.
Chloe Winchester (2), Millie Carter, Jessica Mead, Yasmin Poole and Billie Phillpot were on the scoresheet as Saltdean Utd continued their run with a 6-1 win away to Badshot Lea, which earns the London & South East League side a trip to Actonians Ladies.
New London Lionesses reached the Second Round Qualifying again by winning 5-0 at Regents Park Rangers. They will now be at home to Worthing who moved through impressively with a six-goal victory over Sutton Utd, Caroline Hodgson scoring a hat-trick along with Rebecca Thompson-Agbro, Sara Tubby and Gemma Worsfold.
Ilminster Town returned from Callington Town with a 2-1 victory under their belts, which earns them a meeting with Poole Town. Abbie Carslake and Colette Martin scored the goals for Ilminster, with Gabi Alphous replying. Sherborne Town meanwhile ended the run of Oldland Abbotonians with a hard fought 2-1 win. Olivia Watts scored either side of half time for the Zebras, who now travel to Portishead Town, whilst Oldland's consolation came from Anneka Hawkins-Hoare.
