Fleetwood aim to make their mark
 Women's Football FA Women's Cup News - 31 Oct 2020
Fleetwood Town Wrens have had to wait a week before discovering who their next opponents in the Vitality Women's FA Cup would be, and now their young, new look squad will be able to test themselves against National League opposition.
Liverpool Feds came through with a 5-0 victory over Ossett Utd to book themselves a trip to the North West League side this coming Sunday and Fleetwood's joint managers, Dave Butler and Kris Perry, are hopeful that their team can make an impression.
"As joint managers, we are super excited to welcome Liverpool Feds for our fifth FA Cup game this season," they told Women's Soccer Scene.
"We expect the toughest of tasks we have faced so far as they are one of favourites for promotion from NPL Division One this season.
"Our squad has changed dramatically this season with over half (ten) arriving in July. The majority of those are still sixteen, so we are still very much a squad in development. However we have shown already that we can deal with both sides of the game, technical and physical, and have a solid start.
"This game is part of our development again and we will tell our squad to go into the game with no expectations - just to smile, work hard and give their all. If they do, and we are sure they will, we will be very happy and the result will be secondary but with some luck, could be the win we want."
Fleetwood striker Lauren Oatley added: "It will be a great experience for our young team to play against Liverpool Feds from the FA Women's National League.
"With our unbeaten start to the competitive season, our team is in a good moment, but we know this will likely be our most difficult test so far. It's a free game for us as the pressure is on them to get a result against a lower division side.
"The squad are all looking forward to the game and we have knocked out some strong teams along the way, so hopefully we can pull off an upset on Sunday."
Fleetwood reached the Third Round Qualifying stage with a 2-1 victory away to fellow Premier Division side Morecambe, Lauren Oatley scoring both goals.
