Sunday saw the first Old Firm clash since both teams moved up to professional status and it was Celtic who were 1-0 winners over Rangers.
Rangers had gone into the match sporting a 100% record but a last minute goal from Summer Green, from the penalty spot, gave Celtic the points and they move above their rivals into second place, on goal difference.
Glasgow City meanwhile defeated Hibernian 3-2, which means they have opened up a lead of three points at the top of the SBS Scottish Women's Premier League. All of the goals came in the second half, Nicole Robertson opening the scoring just before the hour mark and Jenna Clark doubling their lead shortly afterwards. Kirsty Morrison pulled one back for Hibs, before Mairead Fulton restored City's two-goal advantage with what proved to be the winning goal, despite Siobhan Hunter grabbing a consolation for Hibs in injury time.
After three odd-goal defeats, Spartans got off the mark with a 1-0 success against Forfar Farmington. Rebecca Galbraith scored the only goal of the game for the Edinburgh side with sixteen minutes remaining.
Motherwell also picked up their first points of the season when they beat Hearts 3-0. Lori Gardner gave them the lead in thirteenth minute, with Katie Rice adding the second just before half time. Chelsie Watson rounded off the scoring with the final goal, midway through the second half.
