Aberdeen back on winning trail
 Women's Football Scottish WPL2 News - 1 Dec 2020

After having suffered their first defeat of the season seven days previously, Aberdeen bounced back on Sunday with a 3-0 victory over Kilmarnock.

The first half was goalless but the Dons went ahead through Eva Thomson ten minutes later, before going on to seal the points with further goals from Bayley Hutchison and Loren Campbell.

Aberdeen continue to head the SWPL 2 table by five points from second placed Partick Thistle, who kept up their good run of form by beating Glasgow Women 1-0. Cheryl Hogg settled the local derby as she scored the only goal of the game for Thistle, on the stroke of half time.

Dundee Utd are up into the top three following their 4-1 victory over Boroughmuir Thistle. Megan Burns opened the scoring for United with two minutes on the clock and they doubled their advantage shortly before half time, thanks to Robyn Smith. Brogan Anderson pulled one back for Boroughmuir just after the hour mark but United went on to wrap up the win with further goals from Jade McLaren and Holly Napier.

Hamilton Academical returned to winning ways as they scored eight times without reply past Stirling University. Amy Anderson gave the Accies the lead after ten minutes, with Josephine Giard ensuring they were two goals ahead at the break. After the restart, Giard netted twice more to complete her hat-trick and Anderson added her second, before they on to score further goals in the last ten minutes through Marie Gardiner, Dionne Brown and Nichola Sturrock.

St Johnstone moved themselves towards mid-table as they won 3-0 against Queen's Park, who had started the day in third place. All three goals came in a six minute spell either side of half time, with Rebecca McGowan and Ellie Cowie put St Johnstone two ahead at the interval, before McGowan completed her double early in the second half.
