Chloe gives Swansea the edge
Women's Football Wales Premier League News - 1 Dec 2020
Swansea City narrowly took the honours in the Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League top of the table clash, a late goal giving them a 1-0 victory over Cardiff Met Women.
Chloe Chivers scored the only goal of the game with seven minutes remaining, only the second time the Archers have conceded this season. Met still hold onto the leadership of the table but on goal difference from Swansea, who have a game in hand, whilst Abergavenny Women are three points off the pace and still have a 100% record.
Cyncoed Ladies remain in fourth place following their 1-1 draw against Port Talbot Town. Jesci Hare put Port Talbot in front after nineteen minutes, a lead they held until fifteen minutes from time when Alison Witts scored to earn Cyncoed a share of the spoils.
Cardiff City Women returned to winning ways with a 2-0 success against Aberystwyth Town. The Bluebirds took the lead midway through the first half through Siobhan Walsh and they made the points safe when Phoebie Poole scored the second goal late on.
Briton Ferry Llansawel are off the mark at the fourth time of asking, beating Cascade Youth Club 3-2. An exciting start to the game saw Lowri Ridings gave Briton Ferry the lead in the opening minute, with Sophie Hamer equalising shortly afterwards. Renee Day put the home side back in front on eighteen minutes, before Cascade fought back once again and Holly Hughes ensured that the scores were level at half time. Alexsie Clayton then settled matters in Briton Ferry's favour when she scored the winning goal on the hour mark.
