Aberdeen have taken an even firmer grip on the SWPL 2 title race, even at this early stage, going seven points clear by winning 6-0 away to Stirling University. Bayley Hutchison gave them the lead after three minutes and Chloe Gover doubled their advantage before Hutchison netted her second on the stroke of half time. After the break, the prolific Hutchison went on to round off a hat-trick and she was joined on the scoresheet by Francesca Ogilvie and Johan Fraser. Dundee Utd are now in second following their 4-0 victory over Kilmarnock. An own goal put United in front midway through the first half and Robyn Smith made it two before the hour. Danni McGinley then netted twice to crown a fine win for United who now head the chasing teams after leaders Aberdeen. Hamilton Academical have climbed back into the top three with a 2-0 win away to Queen's Park. Both goals came in the early part of the game, Dionne Brown giving the Accies a ninth minute lead and Amy Anderson adding the second shortly afterwards. After starting the day in second place, Partick Thistle are back in fourth after their recent run of good form was ended by a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Boroughmuir Thistle. Beth MacLeod scored the only goal of the game for Boroughmuir in the 28th minute for their third win of the season and although they remain second from bottom, they are now level on points with Kilmarnock. The other scheduled fixture between Glasgow Women and St Johnstone was postponed because of a frozen pitch.
