Everton defeated Manchester Utd 1-0 in the final group match of the FA Women's Continental Tyres League Cup, but it was not quite enough to take them through to the quarter finals. Willie Kirk's side had been hoping to take one of the two runners-up spots as Manchester City had already been confirmed as group winners, whilst United were unable to progress. The only goal of the game came with fifteen minutes remaining, Hayley Raso bursting down the left and crossing for Lucy Graham to score. Durham Women and Crystal Palace therefore take the two best runners-up positions and will be in the draw for the quarter finals, which takes place on Saturday afternoon.
