One match was played in the Barclays FA WSL over the weekend and it saw Bristol City move off the bottom of the table after sharing a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham took the lead with just two minutes on the clock, when Siri Worm curled a 20-yard free kick past the diving Sophie Baggaley and into the far corner of the net. Kit Graham twice went close for Spurs, with Yana Daniels clearing her shot off the line just before the break.
City came into the game more in the second half and Ebony Salmon was unfortunate not to equalise with a volley from the edge of the area which crashed against the post. However, six minutes later they were level, Gemma Evans finding the net with a looping header from a corner.
Baggaley pulled off a superb save from a powerful Gemma Davison strike and City needed to survive a series of late corners but held out for an important point in their bid for safety.
