Cliftonville's winning start to the season in the Danske Bank NI Women's Premiership was brought to a crashing halt as they were beaten 4-1 by Glentoran, who replace them at the top of the table.
Lauren Wade netted twice and Kerry Beattie also scored from the penalty spot as the Glens stormed into a three-goal lead during the first half. Marissa Callaghan gave Cliftonville hope when she pulled one back with ten minutes remaining but Beattie netted her second to secure a win which takes the Glens one point ahead at the top, although the Reds have a game in hand.
Crusaders Strikers are five points further back in third place but made it three wins in a row when they defeated Sion Swifts 2-1. Jessica Rea's first half strike for Crusaders was cancelled out on the hour by Michelle McDaid but as the game looked to be heading for a draw, Julie Nelson volleyed in an injury time winner to help maintain Crusaders' good run of form.
Linfield ended a run of three successive defeats as they came from behind to win 4-1 away to Derry City. The Candystripes got off to a great start when Caroline Gallagher gave them the lead but Rebecca Bassett equalised four minutes later, then Katie Dickson netted either side of half time. Vicky Carleton completed the scoring with the Blues' fourth goal, midway through the second half.
