Glentoran struck a huge blow in the Danske Bank NI Women's Premiership title as they won 4-0 against nearest rivals Cliftonville.
Lauren Wade put the Glens ahead after six minutes and after Kelly Bailie had doubled their lead midway through the second half, Nadene Caldwell and Jessica Foy crowned the win by adding late goals. The result puts Glentoran four points ahead of Cliftonville at the top of the table, although they have played two more games.
Sion Swifts' winning run was brought to an end when they were beaten 2-0 by third placed Crusaders Strikers. An own goal from the unfortunate Leah McGonagle gave Crusaders the lead ten minutes into the second half and Amy McGivern wrapped up the win.
Linfield Ladies returned to winning ways with a 6-1 success away to Derry City. Kerri Halliday led the scoring for Linfield with a hat-trick and Rebecca Bassett weighed in with a double, with Sienna Leckey also on target. Paula McGrory netted a consolation for the Candystripes early in the second half.
