SWF statement on SWPL Cup matches
 Women's Football Scottish WPL News - 10 Aug 2021
Scottish Women's Football has issued the following statement on two of the SWPL Cup group matches played last Sunday:
"Scottish Women's Football were advised by the Perform and Win Committee, commonly referred to as the League Management Committee (LMC), that they had considered a breach of the following Competition Rule by Heart of Midlothian and Patrick Thistle:
"Competition Rule 21d) A player shall not be eligible to play for a club in a League Cup tie unless registered for the club.
"These breaches occurred during the SWPL Cup Group Stage on Sunday 8th August 2021.
"The Perform and Win Committee determined that the fixtures be awarded 3-0 to their opponents and both clubs were issued with a fine of £100 per player. The results and league tables will be updated accordingly.
"SWF acknowledges both Heart of Midlothian's and Partick Thistle's right to appeal and will make no further comment at this time."
