Aberdeen have booked their place in the quarter finals of the Scottish Premier Women's League Cup after they won 1-0 against Motherwell on Sunday.
Bayley Hutchison scored the only goal of the game, with nineteen minutes on the clock, to earn the Dons a third straight win and a guaranteed place in the top two in Group A.
Aberdeen's position was mathematically sealed after the group's other game ended in a 3-0 victory for Queen's Park away to Boroughmuir Thistle. The scoreline was goalless at half time but a second half brace from Courtney Whyte, plus a Holly McIndoe goal, saw the Spiders pick up the three points.
The other match played in the cup over the weekend was in Group B, where Hibernian scored ten times without reply past Stirling University. The result at the Tony Macaroni Arena means that Hibs are all but assured of a place in the last eight. Amy Gallacher, Eilidh Adams and Alexa Coyle were all on target twice, with Rachael Boyle, Ellis Notley, Kirsty Morrison and an own goal completing the scoring.
