Hibernian are the latest team to book their place in the quarter finals of the Scottish Women's Premier League Cup after their victory over Dundee Utd on Wednesday.
Alexa Coyle, Michaela McAlonie and Colette Cavanagh all scored twice for Hibs as they secured top spot in Group B, whilst there was one apiece from Toni Malone, Rachael Boyle, Siobhan Hunter and Amy Gallacher as they ran out 10-2 winners.
Kilmarnock meanwhile moved into second place in the group with a 3-0 win away to Stirling University. Alex Middleton and Abby Robinson put Killie two ahead at half time, before Rebecca Galt added the third late on. Kilmarnock will now play Dundee Utd for second place in the final group match on Sunday.
The two qualifiers from Group A had already been decided but the final match would determine who would go through as group winners. It was Rangers who secured top spot by beating Aberdeen 5-2, courtesy of a goal each from Rachel McLauchlan, Zoe Ness, Jane Ross and Lizzie Arnot and Chantelle Swaby, whilst the Dons replied through Jessica Broadwick and Chloe Glover.
Motherwell won in the group for the first time, 4-1 against Boroughmuir Thistle. An own goal put Motherwell ahead in the first half and they went on to add further goals from Chelsie Watson, Kaela McDonald-Nguah and Claire Crosbie.
* Scottish Women's Football (SWF) and the Perform and Win Committee, commonly referred to as the League Management Committee (LMC), have been informed by St Johnstone that they will be unable to fulfil their match against Celtic FC on Sunday 29th August in the Group Stage of the SWPL Cup.
Celtic have therefore been awarded a 3-0 win and they are confirmed as going through to the quarter finals as winners of Group D.
