Cliftonville take their chance
 Women's Football Club News - 10 Sep 2021
With Glentoran Ladies not playing until Friday night, Cliftonville Ladies had the chance to replace them on top of the Danske Bank NI Women's Premiership and further their Championship challenge, which they duly did with a 2-1 victory over Crusaders Strikers.
The Reds took an early lead in the derby match, Marissa Callaghan heading them in front with four minutes on the clock. The Crues hit back after the break though and got back on level terms when Amy McGivern headed in from a free kick. With fifteen minutes remaining, Yasmin White was fouled in the area and Callaghan slotted home from the penalty spot, and Cliftonville held on for three important points.
The other match saw Sion Swifts host Derry City and move themselves to within three points of Crusaders after winning 1-0. Kelly Crompton scored the only goal of the game for Sion, midway through the second half.
