The Vitality Women's FA Cup got underway for another season on Sunday, with the First Round Qualifying opening up and 77 ties taking place.
Hartlepool Pools Youth are through to the next stage following their 5-2 victory away to Birtley Town, which earns them a home tie with Darlington Women, 4-2 winners over CLS Amazons. Penrith AFC Ladies meanwhile defeated Gateshead Leam Rangers 7-2 and now go to Gateshead Rutherford Ladies. West Allotment Celtic now play Washington Association after a nine-goal blast against Carlisle Utd and Gateshead FC Ladies went three better, beating Guisborough Town 12-0 to set up a meeting with Spennymoor Town.
Bishop Auckland emerged as winners from a penalty shootout after their tie with Stanwix Ladies finished level at 2-2, they will now be up against Blyth Town. Workington Reds returned from Durham Utd with a 4-1 victory under their belts, their reward is a tough one as they go to Hartlepool Utd. Boro Rangers will host Redcar Town after they won 8-3 at Thornaby FC Ladies, Jade Danks leading the scoring with a four-goal haul with Lou Brown, Larissa Burkinshaw and Jade Featherstone also on target. Ripon City edged past Hepworth Utd 3-2 thanks to a Louise Wilson double and Chloe Bethell, they will now be away to Harrogate Town. Grimsby Borough scored seven times without reply away to Appleby Frodingham and now play Chesterfield.
Altofts Ladies scored ten times away to South Cave, Emily Scott and Nicola Smith both hitting hat-tricks along with Nadine Bates, Hollie Betts, Amy Tilford and Louise Whitt, setting up a tie with Farsley Celtic. Harworth Colliery defeated Cleethorpes Town 3-0 and will up against Wakefield Trinity. Amy Ward, Eleanor Robinson, Jamie-Leigh Neale-Wright and Eleanor Worsley all scored for Hull Utd in their 4-1 victory away to Yorkshire Amateur, to book themselves a trip to Oughtibridge WM.
Annabel Davies scored both goals as Dronfield Town defeated Barnsley FC Ladies 2-1 and they will now host Grimsby Town (see match report). Farsley Celtic Juniors will go to Ossett Utd following their 4-1 success away to Silsden.
Hindley Juniors Ladies were 3-2 winners away to Ashton Utd and will next host Mossley Hill, whilst Didsbury Ladies beat Nantwich Town 2-1 to secure a trip to AFC Darwen. Macclesfield Town were 6-4 victors in a high scoring affair with Pilkington Ladies, they now to go Morecambe, and Northwich Vixens will play Cheadle Town Stingers following their 2-1 success at Penwortham Town. Blackburn Community SC defeated Warrington Wolves 4-2 to set up a tie with Sale Utd, Ashton Town Lionesses will travel to Altrincham after they won 3-1 against West Kirby.
BRNESC were 3-2 victors away to Sandbach Utd and will next face Runcorn Linnets, who beat Preston North End Women 4-1. Haslingden Ladies edged out Alder FC Women by the odd goal in seven and will host Crewe Alexandra, whilst Salford City Lionesses' reward for winning 5-4 against Curzon Ashton is a meeting with Chester FC Women. Wythenshawe Amateurs ran out 4-0 winners over Egerton and will face a trip to Merseyrail Ladies.
Nottingham Trent University scored ten times without reply away to Hinckley Ladies and will be at home to Bugbrooke St Michaels whose match with Rugby Town was considerably closer, Bugbrooke winning on penalties following a 4-4 draw. Kettering Town will play Notts County Women after their 3-0 success away to Sherwood FC Women. Leicester Road have set up a local derby tie with Leicester City Ladies in the next round, thanks to a 3-1 win at Coalville Town Ravenettes.
Anstey Nomads scored six times without reply past Ketton to set themselves up with a trip to Woodlands Ladies and Thrapston Town defeated Rugby Borough 2-0, they will be up against Corby S & L. Arnold Eagles won 6-1 against Nuneaton Borough and are now away to Loughborough Students.
Walsall Wood were 6-1 winners over Sedgley & Gornal Utd and will be at home to AFC Telford Utd who triumphed 3-1 at Droitwich Spa. Kingfisher beat Port Vale 3-1 and now take on Lichfield City. Sandwell Ladies got past Redditch Borough with a 2-1 victory to set up a home tie with Solihull Sporting. Shifnal Town swept through with a 10-1 victory over Wyrley Ladies and this means they will travel to Worcester City. Doveridge face a tough trip to Tamworth after beating Cookley Sports 3-1 and after their match ended 1-1, Knowle's reward for beating Darlaston Town on penalties is an away tie with Coundon Court.
Katie Webb hit a hat-trick as Newmarket Town went through with a 3-1 victory over AFC Sudbury. Newmarket will be away to St Ives Town whilst Haverhill Rovers were 3-0 winners at March Town Utd, they must host Wymondham Town. Garston won 2-0 away to Wootton Blue Cross Lionesses thanks to Ruby Jager and Jade Roberts and they now play Southend Utd Community who triumphed 5-1 at Rayleigh Town. Chelmsford City scored ten times against Houghton Athletic and will go to Watford Development, whilst Herts Vipers Women are up against AFC Dunstable after defeating Hemel Hempstead Town 9-0.
Fern Colepio scored the only goal of the game as Sutton Utd won 1-0 against Meridian Girls to set up a trip to Margate FC Ladies. Tunbridge Wells Foresters' 3-1 success at Cray Valley (PM) has landed them an away tie with Dartford.
Glebe Ladies were another team to progress on penalties following a goalless draw with Bexhill Utd, meaning they will take on Millwall Lionesses in the next round. Hastings Utd must go to Islington Borough after they scored nine times without reply against Regents Park Rangers. Sian Heather was on target four times, Faye Williams contributed a hat-trick and Claire Johnson added the other two. Bromley Ladies raced to a 9-1 victory away to Phoenix Sports and are away to Maidstone Utd.
AFC Acorns edged past Leatherhead on a penalty shootout after Eleanor Killick-Bird and Sami Phillips had scored for them in their 2-2 draw. They will be at home to Badshot Lea who defeated Burgess Hill Town 4-0, Rebecca Munro bagged a hat-trick and Eleanor Blake also got on the scoresheet. Caversham Utd won 3-1 against Warminster Town with a goal apiece from Rosie Page-Smith, Freya Jenkins and Holly Swan, earning them a trip to Eversley & California.
Jo Hartfield-Brown and Kaitlin Howard scored for Woking Ladies in their 2-1 win against Abbey Rangers, whose reply came from Isobel Saunders (see match report). Woking will be away to Walton Casuals. Steyning Town Community scored nine without reply past Eastbourne Town to set up a tie with Roffey. Seaford Town's reward for their 8-1 success at Woodingdean Ladies is a trip to Lancing.
Mia Inglis netted two of the goals for AFC Stoneham in their 6-0 victory against Bursledon. Stoneham will be away to Merley Cobham Sports whilst Chichester City came through a penalty shootout in their victory over Montpelier Villa, Katie Bundy and Gabriella Hobday having scored Chi's goals as the teams finished level at 2-2. Chichester will host AFC Littlehampton.
Eastbourne Utd won 4-0 away to Hassocks, to set up a journey to Fulham FC Women in the next round. Shanklin meanwhile emerged as 5-4 extra time winners from a thrilling tie with QK Southampton, meaning that the Isle of Wight side must now play Bournemouth Sports.
Pucklechurch Sports caused a surprise when they beat Bristol Rovers on penalties after the game had finished in a 1-1 draw. Chelsea Pearce gave a determined Pucklechurch side the lead, which held onto until seven minutes from time when Georgia Vandries scored to take the game to the shootout. Pucklechurch will now travel to Sherborne Town in the next round.
Kate Ambrey scored twice and Kelsey Harris the other as Gloucester City also produced a fine result in winning 3-2 against higher league opponents in Weston-super-Mare. Ellie Burrows and Phoebe Payton replied for Weston. Gloucester will now have a plum home tie against Ilminster Town. Almondsbury and Olveston Utd will have to replay their tie again this week after Sunday's match was abandoned in injury time, with Olveston leading 3-2 at that stage.
AEK Boco had a fine run in the cup last season and they have started well again this time, winning 4-2 away to Chipping Sodbury Town thanks to a Lucy Atkinson hat-trick and Jessica Titcomb. Boco will now be away to Paulton Rovers who progressed on penalties following a thrilling 3-3 draw with Downend Flyers. Adella Clarke, Eleri Webber and Martha Slocombe all scored for Paulton, who trailed 2-0 at one stage.
Amy Salter netted four times and Louise Ilsley hit a hat-trick as Feniton eased past Signal Box Oak Villa. Brittany Harris (2), Abi Breban, Stef Churchill-Matthews and Caragh O'Brien weighed in with the other goals. Feniton are away to Bideford whilst Liskeard Athletic, emphatic winners over Callington Town, go to RNAS Culdrose.
