 Women's Football Regional Premier Souhthern News - 7 Oct 2021
 
Eastern Region League
On Wednesday night, Wymondham Town went to the top of the Premier Division as they won 2-0 away to previous leaders Wroxham. Bedford Ladies meanwhile defeated St Ives Town 4-1 in the other game, a result which takes them up to fourth place.
 
Wootton Blue Cross Lionesses have moved into second place in Division One North after their 2-0 victory away to Cambridge City Development, Giselle Randall scoring both of their goals.
 
Jessica Allen and Kaylee Dodd each netted twice for AFC Sudbury in their 6-2 victory over East Bergholt Utd in Division One South. Phoebe Guiver and Alex Penny weighed in with the other goals to take their side into third, with Elena Nitsche scoring both in reply.
 
London & South East League
The two teams at the foot of Division One North met each other on Sunday and the spoils were shared as Clapham Utd and Victoire Ladies drew 3-3. Abigail Igbavboa scored a hat-trick for Victoire but it was not quite enough as Clapham picked up their first point of the season.
 
In Division One South, Parkwood Rangers won for the first time when they defeated Meridian Ladies 3-1. Connie Lewin (2) and Faye Tompsett were on the scoresheet for Parkwood, with Emily Beeney replying.
 
North East League
York RI have opened up a lead of five points at the top of the Southern Division after winning 4-3 away to Barnsley FC Ladies. Hepworth Utd meanwhile claimed their first league victory of the season when they defeated third placed Wakefield Trinity U23 4-2. Laura Brown scored a hat-trick for Hepworth and Renata Feherova added the other, while Wakefield replied through Aimee Wilde and Abigail Simpson.
 
North West League
Blackpool took the opportunity to go three points ahead in Division One North when they defeated Chorley Women Development 5-1. Lily Hambly, April Oldfield, Emily Cardwell, Molly Kelly and Keisha Masterson all scored a goal apiece for Blackpool. Robyn Wojnarowski meanwhile grabbed the only goal of the game to give Penwortham Town a 1-0 success away to Carlisle Utd, a result which takes them up to third.
 
One match was played in Division One South, Mersey Valley leaping into a mid-table position with their first league win of the season, 7-1 against Alder FC Women.
 
South West League
The only action in the league over the weekend took place in the Eastern Division and it saw the early leaders, Warminster Town, go down to their first defeat, beaten 7-4 by Chipping Sodbury Town. Izzie Smart led the scoring for Sodbury with a hat-trick and Sophie Kelly weighed in by netting twice, with Laura Curnock, Estelle Randall and Kyra Bishop adding the others. Mia Blazey (2), Molly McCarthy and Poppy Spratt replied for Warminster who hang on to top spot. Swindon Town Development meanwhile won 1-0 away to Frome Town, Summer Williams scoring the only goal of the game just before half time.
 
Southern Region League
One match was played in the league on Sunday, in Division One where AFC Bournemouth Development took over at the top after beating Abbey Rangers 6-0. All of the Cherries' goals came in the second half, Charlotte Eastman finding the net twice along with Ruth Topping, Larissa White, Emily Trim and Catherine Todd.
 
West Midlands League
Darlaston Town have moved into the top three in Division One North after they won 2-0 away to Coventry City, their markswomen were Laura Avery and Emily Smith. Sophie Breeze, Holly Meehan and Amy Rollason were on target for Wyrley Ladies in their 3-2 victory at Port Vale, whose replies came from Macy Isherwood and Tara Harrison.
 
In the solitary match to take place in Division One South, Cookley Sports shared a 3-3 draw with Rugby Town who picked up their first point of the season. Grace Rudd, Abby Lawson and Jessica Rudd scored Cookley's goals, whilst Chloe Debaes hit a hat-trick for Rugby.
