Chloe Kelly makes Arsenal return
Arsenal are delighted to announce that England international forward Chloe Kelly has joined the club on loan.
Chloe joins from Manchester City and will stay with the Gunners until the end of the 2024-
Chloe joined the youth academy at the age of 12 in 2010 and went on to make 19 appearances for the first team between 2015 and 2018, scoring nine goals. Now 27, Chloe had two loan spells at Everton during her time as an Arsenal player, before joining the Toffees on a permanent deal in 2018. She scored 18 goals in 51 appearances in total for Everton before sealing a move to Manchester City in 2020.
Chloe has scored 30 times in 109 appearances for Manchester City, winning the FA Cup in 2019/20 and the League Cup in 2021/22.
At international level with England, Chloe has won 48 caps and scored seven goals, including the winner in the final of the UEFA Women’s Championship in 2022. Chloe was also part of the Lionesses squad that reached the final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023.
Head Coach Renée Slegers told arsenal.com: “Chloe is an exciting attacking player and will be a great addition to our squad as we approach the second half of the season. She’s direct and explosive, with huge natural talent and ability. We’re all looking forward to working with Chloe as an Arsenal player in the coming months.”
Director of Women’s Football Clare Wheatley added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Chloe back to Arsenal. As an academy graduate, we’ve been proud to see the career she’s gone on to enjoy, both at club and international level. We’re delighted she’ll be representing Arsenal again as we aim to compete for honours this season.”

Born in California, Jenna came through the college system with Florida State Seminoles, scoring 19 goals and providing 34 assists in 86 appearances as the Seminoles won the 2021 National Championship.Jenna was drafted to Gotham FC in January 2023 and would go on to make 46 appearances and score four goals for the club, winning the NWSL Championship in 2023.
Jenna’s impressive breakout season in the NWSL was recognised as she received two NWSL Rookie of the Month awards, before being chosen as the 2023 NWSL Rookie of the Year.
At international level, Jenna has won 18 caps for the United States Women’s National Team, scoring two goals along the way. She was part of the squad which lifted the Concacaf W Gold Cup in March 2024 and also won gold at the Paris Olympics last summer.
“I’m so happy to be here,” said Jenna. “I’ve always wanted to play in England and joining such a historic football club is a dream come true. I want to win trophies with this club and help the team in any way possible. It’s an incredible feeling to be able to call myself an Arsenal player and I can’t wait to get started.”
