Farrell-Shrouder replaces injured Clark

Rhian Wilkinson has announced her squad as Wales look to build on the positive start in their 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign with two matches against Albania.

Four uncapped players feature in the squad, including a first time call up for goalkeeper, Lucy Farrell-Shrouder. Defender Mayzee Davies returns to the squad for the first time since suffering an ACL injury away to Denmark in May 2025. Olivia Clark misses out due to injury.

After a strong start to the campaign with 2-2 draw away to Czechia and a 6-1 win in Llanelli against Montenegro, Wilkinson will be hoping to build on those results when they face Albania at the Stok Cae Ras on Tuesday 14 April (7:15pm KO) and again on Saturday 18 April at the Elbasan Arena, Elbasan (6:00pm CEST KO).

The match taking place on home soil will mark the first time these sides have ever faced each other. Sophie Ingle will also become the second Welsh player to reach 150 caps, if she appears in both matches.

Wales return to the SToK Cae Ras having previously played there in February last year in a 1-1 draw with Sweden in front of a record crowd for a home fixture outside of Cardiff with more than 6,000 in attendance.

Tickets are available to purchase on the FAW ticketing website, priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children, with discounts available for Red Wall members.
