Forest part company with Davies

Head Coach Carly Davies has left Nottingham Forest at the end of the current season, in which they finished in seventh place in their first ever season at Tier 2 level.

The club has issued the following statement on its official website:

“Nottingham Forest Women can confirm the Club has parted ways with Head Coach Carly Davies.

Davies was appointed in August 2023 and has played a significant role in the development of the Club since her arrival. Following the transition to becoming a full-time professional team, the 2024/25 season saw Forest Women win promotion to the WSL2 and win the National League Cup, in what was a domestic double for Carly’s side.

The current campaign in the second tier has seen the team finish mid-table in a competitive league and after careful consideration, as the team continues to push towards the WSL, the Club has made the decision to begin a fresh cycle under new management.

Everyone at Nottingham Forest sincerely thanks Carly for her dedication, commitment and professionalism, recognising her significant contribution to the Club’s recent upwards trajectory and success.”
