Hibernian and Rangers to meet in Sky Sports Cup Final

The SWPL is pleased to confirm that the 2024-25 Sky Sports Cup Final will see Hibernian take on Rangers at Fir Park on Saturday 22nd March 2025 with a 3pm kick off.

The match will also be exclusively live on Sky Sports and NOW.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday (27th January) from 3pm and will be available online via the SWPL website.

Tickets for the 2024-25 final will be priced at just £10 for adults and £4 for concessions (under 16’s and supporters with a disability). There will also be a family ticket available costing £25 for two adults and two children.

There will be no formal segregation at the match and the SWPL are encouraging fans of women’s football and all clubs to attend this showcase fixture which promises to be a thrilling encounter between two of the current top three sides in the SWPL table. Supporters of both clubs can however choose to sit with fellow fans of their favourite club by purchasing tickets in the following areas:

•     Hibernian – North Section, Section M
•     Rangers – Section F, Section C

Once again, following the success and popularity of this offering last year, hospitality tickets will also be made available to the public. Further information on hospitality tickets and pricing will be announced soon via SWPL channels.

The SWPL would like to thank Sky Sports, both finalists and Motherwell FC for their collaboration and willingness to work closely together to plan what we anticipate will be a fantastic occasion for women’s football in Scotland.

SWPL Managing Director, Fiona McIntyre, said: “Firstly, I’d like to congratulate both teams for reaching the Sky Sports Cup Final. Like in previous years, I am sure this match will be a great spectacle and showcase the very best of women’s football in Scotland. This fixture has produced two thrilling matches already in the league this season with Hibernian winning once and the other ending in a draw. The match is also a repeat of season 2022-23’s final, which resulted in Rangers lifting the first ever Sky Sports Cup. I am sure both clubs will therefore relish the chance to face each other again, this time to challenge for the first silverware of the 2024-25 season, in front of what we anticipate will be a huge crowd at Fir Park.

“It’s really important that the Sky Sports Cup remains affordable and accessible, and our concession and family tickets continue to provide fantastic value for fans, who we are sure will turn out in big numbers in March.

“Like last year, not only will your ticket allow you to watch some of the best players in Scotland, there will be lots of family-friendly activities happening in and around the stadium too. Hibernian defeated Aberdeen 3-0 last Sunday in the first semi final with the help of Ciara Grant’s player of the match worthy brace. She gave the Edinburgh side the lead in the first half before Eilidh Adams added a second, finishing off a well-worked short corner routine midway through the second half. Grant rounded off the scoring by finishing Lauren Doran-Barr’s cross. They will now look to avenge Rangers’ win in this repeat of the 2022-23 final.

In the other semi final, Rangers saw off Glasgow rivals Celtic in a dramatic and well fought contest. Rio Hardy gave Rangers the lead immediately following the second-half restart before Katie Wilkinson doubled their lead with a stunning free-kick shortly after. Celtic responded with a goal of their own through Emma Lawton in added time to make for an exciting last few minutes, but Rangers held on to progress to the final once again. They will now look to win the Sky Sports Cup for a third consecutive year.
