Hibs to host Scotland play-off tie

Easter Road has been confirmed as the venue for the Scotland Women’s National Team's vital UEFA Women’s EURO play-off first round tie against Hungary on 29 October.

Pedro Martinez Losa’s side will head to Edinburgh for the second leg of the fixture after returning from Budapest where they will play the first leg on 25 October.

Four games stand between Scotland and a spot at UEFA EURO 2025 in Switzerland, with the winners of the round one play-off games progressing to face either Finland or Montenegro in November.

On the road to the play-offs, Scotland finished top of Group B2 securing promotion to ‘League A’ after an unbeaten qualification campaign.

Scotland captain Rachel Corsie said: “This is a great opportunity to take the game to the fans in another city. It’s a massive game for us and it goes without saying that we want as many fans behind us as possible.

“We’ve been to Dundee and Partick Thistle over the course of the last year and whilst Hampden remains the home of the women’s game, it’s really important that we engage with our fans all around the country.

“We’ve got a really important few months ahead of us and we can’t wait to get on the pitch in front of our supporters again.”

Ticket information will be announced in due course.
