Leicester sign Olivia Clark

The Leicester City FC Women goalkeeping ranks have been strengthened with the signing of Wales international Olivia Clark from Vrouwen Eredivisie side FC Twente.

The 23-year-old, who has made 25 senior appearances for Wales, joins the club on a permanent deal following a six-month spell in the Netherlands, having previously represented Bristol City in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

She said: “Leicester is a massive Club and the facilities are great; they speak for themselves. Leicester is really ambitious and I’m excited to get going. I can develop myself here; I’ve got everything I need.”

Clark’s first taste of senior football was with Boston United before gaining further experience with Nettleham and Huddersfield Town. A move to Coventry United followed in 2020 prior to joining Bristol City two seasons later and helping the Robins to the 2022-23 Barclays Women’s Championship title.

A loan spell with Watford followed before a move to Netherlands with FC Twente, where she helped the team to a 6-1 victory over Ajax on her debut in KNVB Women’s Super Cup.
