Milly Boughton signs for Hibs

Hibernian FC Women is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Milly Boughton.

The 19-year-old joins the club on a two-year deal, subject to international clearance, following her departure from Barclays Women’s Super League side Arsenal in the summer.

The Australian Under-20 international spent the last season with the Gunners’ Under-21 squad following stints with West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as a loan spell with Ipswich Town.

She was a key performer for Australia at the 2024 AFC Under-20 Asian Cup, playing every match as the Young Matildas secured a bronze medal - their joint-best finish in the competition’s history.

Boughton will wear number 7 for Hibernian Women.

Hibs Women Team Manager Grant Scott commented: “Milly is a talented young player we are excited to have come into our squad as the new season gets under way.

“She is still young, with plenty of potential, and we hope to help her in her development following her time in England with West Ham, Tottenham and Arsenal.”

After arriving in Leith, Boughton said: “I’m really excited to meet everyone. I watched the European game last week and it was really good to see everyone playing.

“I can’t wait to see how I fit into the team, and I also can’t wait to play in front of the fans on Sunday.”
