Northern Ireland to play at Larne
Northern Ireland’s first home game in the second edition of the UEFA Women’s Nations League will be played at Inver Park in Larne.
Tickets for the League B Group 1 match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday 25 February (7pm) are now on sale, priced at £10 for adults
and £5 for juniors.
Prior to that game, Northern Ireland will begin their second UNWL campaign away to Poland, the top seeds in B1. Tanya Oxtoby’s side are the
second seeds in the group, which also features Romania. The senior women’s team will play Poland in the port city of Gdansk on 21 February.
Matchday three in B1 will see them take on Romania away on Friday 4 April. It will be part one of an April double header against the Romanians. The teams will meet again in Northern Ireland on Tuesday 8 April.
Matchday five in B1 is on Friday 30 May when Northern Ireland will host the Poles. And on Tuesday 3 June they will face the Bosnians away from home in their final group game.
Poland are ranked 28th in the world compared to Northern Ireland in 44th, while the Bosnians and Romanians are 63rd and 48th in the latest rankings respectively.
Stage one of the UWNL second edition will determine which four teams progress to the finals from League A as well as promotion and relegation between the leagues ahead of the European Qualifiers phase for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil.
