Panini launch WSL sticker collection

Following the success of the first-ever domestic women's football sticker album last year, Panini and the Women’s Professional League have launched the 2024-25 Barclays Women’s Super League Official Sticker Collection.

In partnership with Goals and their newly announced Goals Girls Hour community initiative, Panini hosted a surprise training session for Balham FC Girls alongside Chelsea captain and Lioness Millie Bright OBE. Goals Girls Hour provides dedicated time for grassroots girls teams to play for free at Goals Centres across the country.

The starstruck grassroots players took to the field as they were coached through drills, a small sided game and Millie even had a stint in goal as the girls, aged 9-14 had their chance to score a penalty against the Lioness star. Followed by a team photograph, signed merchandise and a group Q&A, Balham FC budding stars walked away with the latest Panini WSL sticker album alongside memories to last a lifetime.

Panini, the world leader for sports collectables, releases this second WSL collection bigger and better than ever, now featuring 397 stickers across a 60-page album, more bumper stats, and even more of the all-important must-have ‘shinies’. Players such as Nikita Parris, Hannah Hampton and Jessica Naz receiving the famed metallic finish for the first time.

Celebrating the best of the women’s domestic game, the album includes Impact Players and Power Pairs from all 12 Barclays WSL teams as well as a nod to future women’s football stars. Manchester City’s Chloe Kelly and Arsenal’s Alessia Russo feature on the star-studded album front cover.

The second collection hits shelves on November 28, with Pre-Sale now available (Order yours at Panini.co.uk).

Katie Gritt, Head of Marketing for Sport at Panini commented: "Launching the second Barclays Women’s Super League Official Sticker Collection is an extremely proud moment for us as a brand.  The response to the collection last year was incredible.  As well as enabling us to bring the game closer to the fans, it also brought communities together across the country as fans formed swap groups to help them complete the collection.  Many WSL players were also collecting and swapping stickers became a favourite activity after training! Panini sticker collections are about bringing people together through the fun of collecting and we cannot wait for this to begin again and see fans, players and parents across the nation swapping and trading their 2024/25 WSL stickers.”

Chelsea Captain and Lioness, Millie Bright OBE said: “This is yet another incredible moment for the Women’s game. All we ask for from brands is the opportunity and the consistency of support. Panini launching their second album is evidence of that and I can certainly say me and girls were so into this last year! I’m a stickler for sticking straight and in the lines but I am also excited to see new players see themselves in the collection for the first time and start that collecting hype once again!”

Nikki Doucet, Chief Executive of the Women’s Professional Leagues Ltd, added: “The impact of last season’s sticker collection with Panini surpassed everyone’s expectations and just goes to prove the great appetite that exists for the women’s professional game. We love that this sticker collection is for the fans and that it puts the players front and centre and we can’t wait to see what the second collection delivers.”
