The Regional Leagues
East Midlands League
It was League Cup day on Sunday with the First Round taking place and league leaders Rotherham Utd suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat at the hands of Asfordby Amateurs, Sarah Brown scoring a goal in each half for the Division One Central side. Newport Pagnell Town also claimed a Premier Division scalp as Francesca Partridge (2), Alex Bartlett, Rachael Mumford and Jasmine Spence gave them a 5-1 victory over Gainsborough Trinity.
Two of the matches were all-Premier Division ties; Eleanor Towers netted twice and Analeice Wilkes the other as Anstey Nomads edged out SJR Worksop 3-2, whilst Mansfield Town defeated Stamford AFC Women 3-0 thanks to Ainsley Allan, Millie Mellors and Millie Edwards.
Chesterfield FC Women went through by scoring eight times without reply past Newark Town, Millie Standen hitting a hat-trick along with Evie Carter (2), Chloe Foster, Amy Nowell and Jessica Waplington. Ruby Barnes was another hat-trick scorer as Loughborough Foxes Vixens beat Cleethorpes Town 6-0, Emma Morris, Ranae Huggan-Broughton and Ebony Martens adding the others, whilst Wellingborough Town ran out 4-1 winners over Coalville Town Ravens with Keira Doig (2), Tori Moisey and Holly Moore getting on the scoresheet.
Rosie Fowler, Milan Rose and Jenna White scored the goals as Leicester City Ladies narrowly won 3-2 away to Arnold Eagles. Dronfield Town defeated Brackley Town Juniors 2-0 thanks to Charlotte Bennehan and Kristine Humble whilst Grimsby Town Academy came from two goals behind at the break, Abbie-May Emslie and Beth Wharton taking their tie with Long Eaton Utd to penalties where they emerged as 5-4 winners. Jessica Smithurst netted the only goal as Belper Town won 1-0 against Sherwood FC Women and Chesterfield Community Trust were also narrow victors against Nottingham Trent University, 3-2 thanks to Amelia Holland, Melvina Luhinzo and Emily Walker. Amelia Brown, Skye Semenytsh-Wright and Anastasia Kariolis all got on the scoresheet as Notts County Development beat Lincoln Utd Development 3-1.
Melbourne Dynamo eased to an 8-2 victory over Basford Utd, Molly Boultbee hitting a hat-trick along with Elizabeth Queen (2), Kelsey Burton-Evans, Katie Mayfield and Chelsie Tebble, meanwhile doubles from Sapphire Rohan and Rachael St John-Mosse, with Grace Miller and Cara Brooker adding the others, took New Bradwell St Peter to a 6-1 success at University of Nottingham. Stanground Cardea Sports Ladies made it through via a penalty shootout after their tie with Thrapston FC Women finished in a 3-3 draw. Linda Jespere gave Northampton Town Development a 1-0 win against Netherton Utd and Dunton & Broughton Utd defeated River City 6-2 thanks to Kayleigh Needham (2), Lacey Shilcock (2), Darcey Gee and Samantha Hargrave.
Eastern Region League
League leaders Stevenage Women progressed in the League Cup with a 5-0 victory over Cambridge City, Amy Makewell hitting a hat-trick along with Sarah Wiltshire and Gemma Croucher. Two Premier Division went out at the hands of lower division opposition; Haringey Borough were beaten on penalties by Chelmsford City following a 4-4 draw and Hashtag Utd Res were 3-2 winners at Wroxham thanks to Sophia Mylona (2) and Chelsie Fleming. St Albans City won 2-0 at Brentwood Town with goals from Scarlett Robb and Kayleigh Gray, whilst Brooke Haylock bagged a hat-trick as Atletico London beat Colney Heath 3-0. Enfield Town were 5-2 victors over Biggleswade Utd after extra time, Rebecca Wheatley hitting an extra time hat-trick to add to earlier strikes from Danielle Smith and Sion Kamiende. Skye Bailey, Phoebe Keys and Zoe Tryfonos saw Hutton to a 3-0 victory over Dunstable Town Lionesses and Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers won 2-1 at Real Bedford Res courtesy of Kyla Langan and Holly Walker. Watford Development meanwhile beat Wormley Rovers 6-3 with a Kaya Bamber hat-trick, Jada Deane (2) and Olivia Oshodi.
Evie Clarke scored a hat-trick, with Olivia Bilson (2), Marine Ray (2), Ruby Kilden and Danielle Styles adding the others as Bowers & Pitsea defeated Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds 9-1. Jordanne Sillitoe and Isabella Simmons each scored four times whilst Francesca Hamer and Emma Slater each contributed hat-tricks for Royston Town against Brantham Athletic, with Dilly Haslehurst (2), Hannah Bodily, Sofia Castiglione and Amy Reed the other markswomen.
Histon continued their good league form by beating Hertford Town 1-0 with a goal from Evie Nicholls, while Needham Market edged past Mulbarton Wanderers with a 2-1 victory thanks to Annie Posnett and an own goal. Newmarket Town were penalty shootout winners over Thetford Town after their clash ended in a 2-2 draw. Colchester Utd ran out 7-1 winners over Toby FC Women, Daisy Canny was on target four times along with Keisha Amoah (2) and Learna Daniels.
One match was played in Division One North, Stevenage Women Development narrowing the gap on leaders Histon to two points when they beat Hitchin Belles 8-2. Rubie Smith and Olivia Thornton were each on target twice along with Eva Delaney, Sophie Hendy, Eleanor Townsend and Tegan Wilson.
Stanway Peagasus Women are out of the bottom two in Division One South after goals from Jade Horne and Imogen Fisher gave them a 2-0 victory against Southend Utd.
London & South East League
With Brentford not playing, Saltdean Utd notched up two victories to move themselves into top spot on goal difference. On Sunday they ran out 4-1 winners over Barking thanks to Kirsty Barton, Leila Emmerson, Danielle Lane and Caitlin Sullivan, and followed this up by beating Newhaven 3-0 with goals from Izzy Glass-Oliver, Lane and Lillian Tucker in midweek. Aylesford had earlier beaten Newhaven 3-0 to climb up into third place with Billy Burgess, Beth Hulme and Rebecca Keyte all on target. An injury time equaliser from Gabrielle Williams earned Sutton Utd a 1-1 draw with Dorking Wanderers whilst Millwall Lionesses beat Sport London e Benfica 1-0 thanks to Kayda Townsend. Ashford Town (Middlesex) won for the first time, 5-0 against Ebbsfleet Utd courtesy of Charlotte Close (2), Elena Nitsche (2) and Chanel Morris.
Actonians Ladies Res have moved into second place in Division One North, albeit ten points behind leaders Hammersmith, after Katy Hanscomb (2), Rosie Hay and Isabelle Morley earned them a 4-3 victory over Richmond & Kew. AFC Greenwich Borough meanwhile scored six times without reply past Ashford Utd, Sy'ria Campbell netting twice along with Charlotte Long, Kim Dixson, Amelie Briggs and Hannah Baker, whilst Herne Bay were 2-1 winners against Hackney with strikes from Steph Adby and Ffion Sharp.
Things remain close in Division One South but there was a change of leadership, Bognor Regis Town are up into second place on goal difference after a Kim Fuller hat-trick, Lillie-Mae Bromley, Sophia Poling and Niamh Andersson gave them a 6-0 victory over Montpelier Villa. Three teams are level at the top, Eastbourne Borough are just ahead of Bognor Regis and Steyning Town Community, 5-3 winners away to Sevenoaks Town thanks to Brooke Pallant (2), Holly Clarke, Willow Exley and Sami Phillips. Leatherhead are only three points off the pace after Megan Button and Gemma Staple both scored in their 2-0 win against Saltdean Utd Development and Bexhill Utd won for the first time, 1-0 against Frimley Green with Felicity Kosti scoring the only goal of the game.
Bromley went through to the Second Round of the League Cup when Melanie Espinosa and Beth Hull gave them a narrow 2-1 victory over Eastbourne Borough. Yazmin Williams (2), Rosanne Fine and Nicholle Salvage were the markswomen for Ashmount Leigh in their 4-0 success at Soccer Elite Football Academy, whilst Clapton Community beat Hastings Utd 4-2 thanks to Emily Link, Marta Perez, Egle Trezzi and Eva van der Vliet.
North East League
Ponteland Utd have gone level on points with leaders Thornaby Women as they edged out Brunsmeer Athletic by the odd goal in seven. Sophie Hollis netted twice and Isla Maggs was also on target, before Annabel Bright scored an injury time winner. Harrogate Town are only one point off the pace after they also won 4-3 away to Ossett Utd. Lauren Doyle led the scoring with a hat-trick and Hannah Sturdy added the other goal. Spennymoor Town ran out 4-1 winners over Alnwick Town Juniors and are a further point adrift in fifth, courtesy of a goal apiece from Holly Doogan, Jennifer Priestley, Sophie White and Sophie Hodgson.
Jessica Cook, Esther Lane and Sophie James all scored for Washington Women in their 3-0 victory away to Wallsend BC Res and they now head the table on goal difference from Gateshead Rutherford Ladies, who beat Berwick Rangers Community Academy 2-0 thanks to Lauren Driver and Melissa Scott. Steph Reyes was on target for i2i International Soccer Academy in their 1-1 draw with Birtley Town, Nichole Havery's second half equaliser means that both teams remain unbeaten. Stockton Town meanwhile won for the first time, 3-0 at Redcar Town with Ellie Patterson, Chloe McKinnell and Grace Campbell all getting on the scoresheet.
A solitary goal from Shameeka Fishley gave Southern Division leaders Leeds Modernians a 1-0 win over Altofts Ladies, a result which keeps them top on goal difference from Sheffield Wednesday who edged out Farsley FC Women by the odd goal in seven thanks to first half strikes from Nicole Shaw (2), Amy Broomhead and Emily Clayton. Abby Watkinson (2) and Tia Stancill scored the goals as Handsworth won 3-1 at Rossington Main for a second straight win, as did Lower Hopton who beating York City Development 2-0 with a late double from Dani Anthony. Millmoor Juniors Ladies picked up their first point when their match with Ilkley Town finished 1-1, Lara Stevens replying.
North West League
AFC Fylde continue to look strong at the top of the Premier Division, a goal in each half from Emma Hickson giving them an eighth straight win, 2-1 away to Crewe Alexandra. The Coasters head the table by five points from Mancunian Unity who were 4-1 winners at FC United of Manchester. Tranmere Rovers remain third, despite being beaten 5-0 by Bolton Wanderers, Madison Hardman netting twice along with Ella Tweedle, Heidi Clark and Milla Hodson, whilst Bury FC Women defeated West Didsbury & Chorlton 4-1 thanks to Georgia Payton (2), Alex Speight and Ava Hanson. Poulton Vics meanwhile beat Curzon Ashton 1-0 with Charlotte Navarro scoring the only goal of the game.
The top two in the Division One North table came face to face as Bolton Wanderers Res met Blackpool and the spoils were shared with a 2-2 draw. Freya Brown and Lacey Taylor scored for Bolton as they preserved their huge lead of twelve points over Blackpool, who replied through Lauren Oatley and Tia Worrall. The result was a good one for third placed Preston North End who recorded a crushing win over Fleetwood Town Wrens Res, Alicia Scott netting five times along with Caitlin Walker (2), Menna Shirras, Madison Hadley and Anabelle Medley. 37 goals in total were scored in the five matches in the division, ten of which came at Haslingden where visitors Penrith AFC Ladies were 6-4 victors, Kayleigh Wharton bagging a four-goal haul along with Emily Mason and Abbie Forster. Leila Branthwaite, Hayley Bracken and Cassie Donald all scored for Workington Town in their 3-3 draw with Accrington Stanley and Chorley Women Development were 3-1 winners over Morecambe thanks to Demi Jones (2) and Ayla Willan.
There was a change of leadership in Division One Central where Ashton Town went top on goal difference following their 7-2 victory against Pilkington Women. Amelia Tettey (2), Ella Finch (2), Martha Tosh, Leah Rezgui and Layla Woollam were all on target to help Ashton climb above previous leaders Salford City Lionesses who drew 2-2 with Rochdale. Evie Brookes and Tamzin Gallagher both netted for Salford, whilst Rochdale responded through Sophie Coates and Daisy Mason. FC St Helens are handily placed in third and are still unbeaten following their 4-2 success at Wigan Athletic. Millie Critchley (2), Mollie Farley, Ava Saidie and Caitlyn Ferguson ensured that Mossley Hill ran out 5-1 winners over Radcliffe FC Women and MSB Woolton triumphed 2-1 at Atherton Laburnum Rovers thanks to Kirstie Pickin and Katie Thomas.
Amanda Fallon was on target five times and she was joined on the scoresheet by Alicia Hatton, Josie Alderman, Jade Buckley-Ratcliff and Beth Ragdale as Nantwich Town ran out 10-1 winners against Liverpool Feds Res to maintain their lead of six points at the top of Division One South from second placed Runcorn Linnets, who beat Wirral Phoenix 7-2 thanks to Lile Ashley (2), Mollie Bennett, Chelsea Gillies, Beth Graham, Aisling Hart and Sophie Rotheram. Chester FC Women moved to within a single point of AFC Crewe after beating them 3-0 with Emma Clausen, Ciara Lee and Lola Smith on target. A late goal from Chloe Gravett earned Macclesfield FC Women a 1-1 draw with Altrincham and Warrington Town edged out Manchester Laces 2-1 with strikes from Chloe Green and Lily Parsons.
South West League
AEK Boco regained the leadership of the Premier Division when goals from Lucy Atkinson and Mia Brain gave them a 2-1 win over Frampton Rangers, whose reply came from Ellie Michael. Boco head the table on goal difference from Poole Town who beat Bishop's Lydeard 3-1 with goals from Beth Anderson, Lucy Coalter and Summer Williams, the visitors' consolation coming from Holly Meakins. Pucklechurch Sports had started the day as leaders but despite goals from Tianna Bishop and Amy Jefferies, they were beaten 3-2 by Torquay Utd at Plainmoor, with Emily Elliott, Lucy Palmer and Roxylea Thomas scoring the Gulls' goals. Ellie Orritt netted twice and Hannah Eglon the other as Sherborne Town narrowly beat Saltash Utd 3-2.
Things are really congested at the top of Division One North with the top four teams all level on points! Whitchurch Ladies head the table for the first time on goal difference as they scored nine times without reply past Paulton Rovers. Ilarna Nche hit a hat-trick, Amber Coates weighed in with a double and there was one apiece from Faith Constable, Hannah Gillett, Harriette Gammon and Emily Plummer. Cirencester Town had started the day on top but they went down 1-0 to Mangotsfield Utd, who join them on nine points after Bryony Higgs scored the only goal of the game. Corsham Town are the fourth team at the top after in-form striker Shannon Redhouse bagged a hat-trick in their 3-1 win at AFC Brislington, whose consolation came from Clarice White. Despite being only two points off the top, Bitton are in fifth place following their 4-3 victory against Downend Flyers. This did not tell the full story though as Downend led 3-1 at the break thanks to an Annabel Bean brace and Ffion Robinson, before Bitton, who had earlier scored through Bella Tweddle, staged a comeback for a dramatic win with Abbie Woodley-Marshall on target twice and Layla Soppelsa adding the other. Royal Wootton Bassett meanwhile made it two wins out of two when beating Gloucester City Res 2-0 with goals from Chantelle Scott and Hannah Gulliver.
Division One South is holding a Supplementary Cup this season and Weston-super-Mare got off to a good start, scoring eight times without reply past Appledore Women. Ellie Burrows and Laura Jones each bagged a brace and there was one apiece from Alex Gwyther, Viktoriia Khandusenko, Shannon Osman and Eloise Hubbard. Wells City meanwhile defeated Weymouth 5-0 thanks to Lucy Pitman (2), Caitlin Baker, Millie Knight and Poppy Lott.
Southern Region League
Chelsie Hay and Annie Northwood scored the goals as Winchester City Flyers won 2-0 against Beaconsfield Town to climb above them into second place in the table, three points behind leaders Wycombe Wanderers. Fleet Town are also on nine points, they defeated Badshot Lea 4-0 thanks to Layla Drury (2), Emily Hulford-Funnell and Keira Simpson. Mia Adaway and Millie Bradbury were on target for AFC Portchester in their 2-2 draw with Oxford City, for whom Georgina Tayman and Ellie White were on target, whilst Lucy Mear, Chloe Tedman and Eliska Lynn gave Southampton Women a 3-1 victory over Sholing.
Division One North leaders Abingdon Utd Development were 2-1 winners at Kidlington Youth, Beth Hawtin and Jessica Exell scoring the goals to open up a lead of three points for their side. This is because Oxford City Development were beaten 2-1 by Tilehurst Panthers, who move above their opponents on goal difference thanks to a brace from Leah Why, however Denham Utd now occupy second place following an 8-0 victory against Chesham Utd Development, Brogan Moore hitting a hat-trick along with Niamh Cashin, Sofia Harris, Alketa Rragami, Daisy Baranowski and Rebecca Horwood. Savana Fearon bagged a brace for Larkspur Rovers in their 2-0 victory over Slough Town whilst Farnborough FC Women edged out Ascot Utd Res 2-1 with Laura Quinn-Low and Ellie Stalley on the scoresheet.
AFC Stoneham are the new leaders of Division One South following their 1-1 draw with Guernsey. Calleigh Hedley netted for the Channel Islanders, who are still unbeaten, with Mia House on target for Stoneham who head a trio of teams on goal difference. Bournemouth Sports Res had started the day on top but did not play, allowing Andover New Street to climb up to second after a four-goal haul from Olivia Payne, as well as Keira Smith, took them to a 5-1 victory at Bursledon. Farnham Town made it three wins out of three when scoring seven without reply at Wimborne Town, Iesha Swaby hitting a hat-trick along with Efro Theocharous, Emily Foss and Anya Kinnane. Emma-Jane May scored the only goal of the game for Havant & Waterlooville in their 1-0 victory over AFC Varsity and Bemerton Heath Harlequins beat Shaftesbury by the same scoreline thanks to Georgia Brown.
West Midlands League
Lye Town have moved into second place, a single point behind Premier Division leaders Shifnal Town following their 3-0 win away to Leek Town courtesy of a Natasha Baptiste hat-trick. Redditch Borough moved level on points with third placed Coventry Sphinx after Alisha Sheridan gave them a 1-0 victory over Hednesford Town. Solihull Moors maintained their unbeaten record by beating Coundon Court 3-0 with goals from Humera Ashfaq (2) and Tiarna Grizzle, whilst Burton Albion were 2-1 winners away to Alvechurch, Millie Drinkhall and Beth Naqwi accounting for their goals.
Division One North leaders Newcastle Town went down to their first defeat of the season, Romille Evans and Skye Hipkiss getting on the scoresheet as they were beaten 2-0 by Telford Town. Lichfield City have moved into third place after Loren Cooper, Lily Taylor-Maxwell, Corinna Williams and Jodie Jones all scored in their 4-0 win at Rugby Town.
Darcey Garner led the scoring with a hat-trick for Division One South table toppers Knowle in their 7-2 victory against Hereford Pegasus. Trina Greaves contributed a brace and the tally was completed by Jessica Barlow and Carly Donnelly. Bromsgrove Sporting remain on their heels, one point behind in second following their 2-0 win at Hereford FC Women, Amy Goodison and Ashleigh Kennedy were on target. Eva Johnston and Georgina Roebuck netted for Leamington Lions in their 2-2 draw with Kingfisher, who responded through Evie Burke and Katie Edwards, whilst Zara Hussain (2), Dani Selmes and Megan Jenkins accounted for the goals as Crusaders inflicted a first defeat of the season on Redditch Utd, beating them 4-2.
