Scotland and Northern Ireland U16 to meet

Nichola Greig and Danielle McDowell Tuffey have named her 20-player squads that will head to Northern Ireland next week for back-to-back friendlies.

Scotland Women’s Under-16s return to match action for the first time this year and will take to the training pitch in Scotland before heading west to Belfast for the double header. The young team were last in action in October when they narrowly lost 1-0 to Spain in Madrid.

A number of players selected for this month’s camp also represented the Under-17s last month in their Round Two qualifiers which saw Scotland secure second place in the group and ‘League A’ status for another campaign.

The games have been pencilled in for Tuesday 14 April and Friday 17 April. Both games are being staged at Greenisland FC’s ground in Co Antrim, and both will have 1pm starts.

Entry is free to both matches in Greenisland.
