Shannon Leishman pens new Hibs deal

Shannon Leishman has signed a one-year contract extension with Hibernian, through to the summer of 2025.

An ever-present on either flank – Shannon impressed in the latter half of the 2023-24 season and played an instrumental role in their Scottish Cup Fourth Round victory over Glasgow City.

She also scored her first goal of the season against Motherwell in an impressive 5-0 victory and contributed a handful of assists throughout the season.

A lifelong Hibee, Leishman made her debut in 2014 against Rangers, and since that point, the club’s number 2 has gone on to star in four different cup winning campaigns, played in the Champions League – and achieved her dream of playing under the lights at Easter Road!

On signing her new deal, Shannon was excited to continue playing for the Club: “I'm  pleased to have signed for another year with the Hibees.

“This Club has been my home for 12 years, and I'm excited to be involved for another season contributing to our success as a team. We have a strong team and fantastic supporters, and I can't wait to see what we can achieve together in the coming season.”

Grant Scott was also excited to continue working with Shannon, saying: “I’m delighted to have Shannon commit to another year with Hibernian FC. Shannon's talent, dedication, and passion for this Club make her a vital part of our squad.

“I look forward to seeing her continue to contribute to the team during the upcoming season.”
