Continental Cup Final is a sell out

The Football Association is pleased to confirm that this Saturday’s FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester City has sold out.

All available tickets have now been snapped up by fans for the match, which is being held at the Cherry Red Records Stadium, home to AFC Wimbledon.

Kelly Simmons, Director of the Women’s Professional Game, said: “I am absolutely thrilled that the Final on Saturday is a sell out and I have absolutely no doubt that the players will put on a world class display for those in attendance.

“If there was one thing I’d ask of fans, it’s that you turn up ready to make as much noise as possible so those following at home can hear you through their TV or radio. Let’s create an atmosphere that really adds to the spectacle.”

This will be the first ever meeting between the two clubs in a domestic final, with holders Chelsea looking for their third consecutive victory in the competition, while City will be looking for their fourth title – the last coming in 2019.

Match officials for the fixture have been confirmed, with Sussex FA’s Lisa Benn taking charge, who will be assisted by Melissa Burgin and Lucy Anne Briggs.

The full team officiating the match is as follows:

The Final will be broadcast live on BBC Two, BBC 5 Live Sports Extra and TalkSport2 in the UK and the rest of the world can watch on FA Player with coverage starting at 5pm (kick-off 5.15pm).
